“Special Delivery!” from Year 2

This week Year 2 have been busy working on the “Special Delivery” Skills Builder project. This encourages learners to build essential skills like listening, staying positive, and leadership, by exploring the role of a delivery service in spreading joy through forming their own community delivery service.

Inspired by our visit from postie Rosie we all became Jolly Postmen, making and delivering our own letters. We even designed our own stamps!

This hands-on experience allowed us to practice and apply our skills in a real-world context.

Skills like:

  • Listening: Understanding the needs and requests of others.
  • Staying Positive: Maintaining a positive attitude and outlook, even when facing challenges.
  • Leadership: Taking initiative and guiding others in the delivery process.

We worked really hard to complete our challenge but also had a lot of fun. We hope everyone enjoyed reading our letters and that we spread some joy!
